September 25 world tree(Yggdrasil):
I based my artwork off the Norse myth of the world tree(Yggdrasil) which resides throughout the nine worlds. I created my work by using a pencil and copying a picture of the world, I then used the picture of the tree and made a rough copy of that as well. I then colored in the continents,islands roots and the base of the tree. I also shaded in the leaves of the tree. understanding arts community: I used the opinions of my table mates to decide if I wanted to color in the continents and the tree. No one inspired me . |
October 4Raindrop, colored pencil
My artwork is raindrops on a piece of lined paper To create this art I used a blank piece of paper and then I drew oval like circles with a pencil then I used a marker to draw the lines as if it were a lined piece of paper when the line got to the circles I curved it to make it look like you were looking through something like a raindrop I then colored the circles a light blue, and colored one of the sections white to represent the light reflecting off the water, Then I shaded to show that the there was definition to the rain drops. Stretch and explore: this artwork is perception art meaning that it is meant to look like it has more than two dimensions I wasn't am still aren't used to perception art so when I was creating this art I was using a new art form that I wasn't used to. I also used a new art material that I wasn't used to and hadn't used before and that was chalk pastel. when the colored pencil didn't work to create the white to simulate the light I had to resort to using chalk pastel. |
The Empire state Grandfather clock building, black and white pencil
My artwork is the empire state building but the main proportion is replaced with a grandfather clock.
To create this art i first drew the sketch in my journal using a picture of the empire state building, then using the scale factor of the length and widths of the two papers i created the final draft using a ruler and the scale factor to make the building as accurate as possible. After i was done creating the drawing i went on to shading the left walls of the building to make it look more realistic and three dimensional.
Engage and persist, During the creation of my art it must have rubbed up against another piece of work and now there are red specks of crayon I decided to keep them and say that they were specks of ash of the world burning around the building.

The endless stairs,black and white pencil.
My artwork is about two pair of stairs that connect and are in rooms that go on forever.
The steps to create my piece were first starting by drawing the original stairs and then shading them in then adding on the room that goes on forever in the back that is when I decided to create two rooms that are connected together and go both have rooms that go on forever I then shaded the second staircase. I also used perception art to create the illusion that the objects were three dimensional.
Engage and persist, during the creation of the artwork I was originally trying to create an opening door and a stair case that was three dimensional during the middle I decided to change it and create what I created
